Here's the back story on this post. Yolanda blogs at Simply Homemaking. Her husband sent an email last week to all their kids and kids-in-law. Yolanda forwarded the email to me so I could enjoy it, too. Boy, did I! I asked her if I could share the email here, and she said yes. I hope you enjoy this as much as I did! –Wardee
Remember the first six addressees of this email have half of their genes coming from Yolanda. Many of these genes are activated in later life.
This morning Mom worked in the garden. This is when she returned to the house. She is carrying swiss chard, carrots and radishes. Note the jeans and socks. She asked me to clean out the mud that was “inside” her boots.
This is what we just had for supper. Swiss chard sauteed in fresh, homemade goat butter with a mixture of farm fresh chicken and duck eggs scrambled in at the end, on homemade whole wheat toast. This was served with garden fresh carrots and radishes. We would have had kefir cheese if it was done aging. Water kefir was our pre-supper beverage.
You might want to think about this for a while if you are planning to come and visit.
