Tip of the Week: Drying Persimmons

In today’s tip of the week, Amanda and her mom from Fresh Bites Daily share how to dry persimmons.

Jeanie shares:

“A quick and easy method to put persimmons away for future use is to slice them into rounds and pop them in your dehydrator. Talk about fun snacks and travel food!… ”

Listener Question

Frances B. asks:

“I hope you are well! I read your article on Soaking and Dehydrating Nuts and Seeds. Once you dry them, do they need to be refrigerated or can they be stored in ziplock bags at room temp? I also would like to see if this same answer applies to soaked and dried gluten free oats.”

We *love* the soaps! We actually weren’t even planning on making bar soap until my husband kept asking about it. We started out making shower gel because that’s what we used but he’s always preferred bar soap. After making that first batch for him and seeing the endless possibilities, we all switched over, lol. Now, it’s hard to get us to do liquid soap at all. 🙂

Hi Mary, the healing salve is such a blessing to us, really. To be able to be healed without steroids or toxic ingredients, priceless. We use the salve and lip balm on our hands… Sometimes, when we’re out, we don’t have any salve, but we always have lip balm. It helps a lot.
