This is one of the most fun (and useful and inspiring) podcasts I’ve ever hosted! Patrice — and her daughter Jaiela — and I really hit it off. These knowledgeable ladies are enthusiastic and passionate about making skin care products that heal and nourish using the beneficial properties of herbs. They’re so generous with their wisdom. It’s contagious! I’m sure you will agree when you listen.
Patrice and Jaiela are the owner’s of Eden’s Pure Herbals.

Tip of the Week: Drying Persimmons
In today’s tip of the week, Amanda and her mom from Fresh Bites Daily share how to dry persimmons.
Jeanie shares:
“A quick and easy method to put persimmons away for future use is to slice them into rounds and pop them in your dehydrator. Talk about fun snacks and travel food!… ”

Listener Question
Frances B. asks:
“I hope you are well! I read your article on Soaking and Dehydrating Nuts and Seeds. Once you dry them, do they need to be refrigerated or can they be stored in ziplock bags at room temp? I also would like to see if this same answer applies to soaked and dried gluten free oats.”

I’ve used their products before and they are great!
We’re so glad you like them! 😀
I’ve not tried these products before but they look great. I’m looking for ways to convert to healthier skin care and this looks like a great first step.
Thanks! We’re here for you if you want to make us a part of that first step. It’s very important, because what you put on your skin, goes into your skin. 🙂
These look lie great products!!!
Thanks Sarah! 🙂
Thank you for the chance to win these amazing products! I can’t wait until payday to try them!
You’re very welcome! We’re happy to make them available and can’t wait to share what we have learned with those who want to learn too.

Fingers crossed! 🙂
I love experimenting with herbs for many uses. Would love to try these!
Thanks Robin! 😀
Great show! Congrats Patrice and Jaiela on the launch of Eden’s Pure Herbals! Irica has been raving about your products for some time. I’ve completed my purchase, can’t wait to be blessed with the giveaway too!:) Praying for much success to you both!
Hi Katrese! Thanks so much. I’ll have to thank Irica when I finally catch her, lol! Your order will go out in the morning! 😀
I loved hearing your story and the wonderful things you are doing with the herbs. I plan to check out the Learning Herbs website as well as yours. All the best in your new business venture.
Thanks Susan! We’re so glad you enjoyed hearing our story. We loved sharing it! Definitely check out Learning Herbs, there’s so much to learn.
I would love to try Eden’s Pure Herbals. I have sensitive skin and I’m always looking for natural products.
Same here Falon, four out of the 6 of us have sensitive skin, but since we started making all our products, it’s a well hidden secret. 😉
I’ve been wanting to learn more about herbs and their healing properties. I would love to try their products.
If you want to learn about them, get to it Jamie! It’s an amazing learning experience that never ends! We would love to have you try our products too!
I’m always looking for natural products especially for my five year old. She has really sensitive skin. I’d love to give these a try.
We’re in the same boat here Marisol, four of the six of us tend to have very sensitive skin. The products have really helped us to look as if we have no issues at all.
These products sound delightful! I’ve thought about trying to make my own but haven’t gotten there yet.
Thanks Shelley! You should definitely try out making you own products, Its a lot fun! 🙂
Would love the soaps.
We *love* the soaps! We actually weren’t even planning on making bar soap until my husband kept asking about it. We started out making shower gel because that’s what we used but he’s always preferred bar soap. After making that first batch for him and seeing the endless possibilities, we all switched over, lol. Now, it’s hard to get us to do liquid soap at all. 🙂
I like the idea of the Herbal Healing Salve for the eczema on my hands.
Thanks for the possibility.
Hi Mary, the healing salve is such a blessing to us, really. To be able to be healed without steroids or toxic ingredients, priceless. We use the salve and lip balm on our hands… Sometimes, when we’re out, we don’t have any salve, but we always have lip balm. It helps a lot.
I love all natural products! I love how simple the Eden products are! Pseudo-herbal products kinda drive me crazy. ; )
Oh my goodness, that irks me to no end AshleyK!
Eden’s Pure products look amazing! Can’t wait to try them! Thank you for the opportunity to win some!
We’re happy to give, Rhonda! Thanks!
I haven’t tried these products but they sound really great!!! Would love the opportunity to try them!!!
Thanks so much! 😀
I can’t wait to check out their products!
We hope you will try them Micah. We aim to please! 🙂
With winter coming we are needing to stock up on lotion!
Yeah definitely!
I would love to win these!! I have made my own lotion and underarm deodorant and I am planning to make my own cucumber soap this winter! I am so going to check out the herbal website!
That cucumber soap sounds really nice. Hope it works out well for you! 🙂
Thank you for your podcast with Wardee, and I was left feeling refreshed to hear that someone else cares about using non-toxic products, curious about your lib balm, and wanting to learn more about herbal medicine. 🙂 I loved your anecdotes, esp. about how obsessed you were with that Chapstick because I am totally like that too! You’re an inspiration and hope to try your creations someday! Thanks again.
Oh wow Laura, thanks so much! You’ve inspired us right back, lady! If you have any questions, shoot us an email anytime. We’re happy to answer them!
Absolutely loved your podcast. I’m heading over to Patrice’s website to try some lipbalm and salve. Thank you ladies!
Thanks Terry! Your order is on the way!

I’d love to try these products!
And we’d love to serve you, Tammy!
I loved this podcast, one of my favorites so far! Can’t wait to try her products and would love to learn how to make some of these products too. Looks like I have some research and studying to do!
I’m glad you enjoyed it! I know I did.
You should definitely try making your own products. Its a lot of fun. 🙂
Thanks so much for the info! Very encouraging and what a blessing to be working with your daughter!
Its equally a blessing to get to work with your mom, if I do say so myself. 🙂
I’m happy you feel encouraged!
I’ve started transitioning to natural skincare, and these sound right up my alley!
We’d love to be a part of your transition, Andrea! It’s pretty neat to sit and think back to my own transition. I was trying to remember the commercial brand I used to buy… I think it was Pond’s.
Great podcast, looking forward to trying your products.
Great podcast, looking forward to trying your products.
I would LOVE to win these. My skin is SO bad! I have horrible eczema. I don’t mean just dry itchy I mean painful, cracked, bleeding, scarring eczema 🙁 it’s flared since I had my son a year ago & has not responded to anything including diet changes. I cannot afford to keep buying & trying new product because due to circumstances beyond our control we are currently without income. I would love to try this product! Hope I win! 🙂
Oh Rebecca, you’re tugging at my heart. Sound so much like my husband’s experiences with eczema most of his life. It’s horrific. I hope you win too!
Loved this podcast!!! I have made Chapstick, but not soap and lotion. Would love to try yours! Thanks ladies!!!
Thanks Vickie! We love to hear of others making things too! Fantastic!
What a generous offer. So glad I was able to listen before the give-away was over. Loved how Patrice was able to help her sister with her products.
Same here Cindy! I’m so grateful to be able to help others. It feels great! Glad you got to listen in time to be entered into the giveaway!
Thank you for this podcast. My family has skin issues. Nothing has helped so far. I will be checking out Eden’s Pure Herbals. I am also thinkong of stocking stuffers. This mother /daughter team is so cute.
Thank you for podcast, Wadree and fun guests, Patrice and Jaiela!
Was very interesting to listen to you and laugh, Ladies! And congrats on your new website!
Plantain! Oh, sweet memory, we used fresh leaves on scrapes and cuts as kids.
My grandma was an herbalist. I only recently started to make some herbal remedies too.
I also love John C. website and his videos! He is an Oregonian, like us, Wardee!
Ladies and Wardee – the best thing to use for slivers/splinters/boils is Ichthammol, it’s also called Black Drawing ointment. It is ages old remedy. You can still find it on Amazon and add to your salve.
I was hoping to take fermenting class with you in Rsbg. Hope you’ll teach again in Spring!
Thank you
Awesome!! Thanks so much Iryna!! We will definitely look into that and get some!
Happy to help! You are doing such a wonderful job, Patrice. I wish all the best with the new business!
Can’t wait to try your products as I don’t have the time right now to make my own.
We’d love to whip something up for you Monica!
So just wondering, who won the give-away? I’m actually getting ready to place my first order soon!
Hi Whitney! Cynthia won the giveaway. 😀
