Lemon-Ginger-Basil Spritzer

Lemon and ginger is already one of my favorite combos ever, but add a subtle herbaceous note in the form of sweet Italian basil, and you've got a perfect blend of tang, sweet, and spice!

Instructions

  1. Place ginger and basil in a medium bowl or pint-sized mason jar.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water and honey.
  3. Heat until honey is completely dissolved.
  4. Pour over ginger and basil, cover and allow to steep for 10 to 15 minutes. 

  5. Strain to remove basil and ginger pieces.

  6. Add lemon juice and stir.
  7. Allow to cool, label, and store in refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
  8. To serve, pour 2 tablespoons over ice in the bottom of an 8-ounce glass.
  9. Fill glass with sparkling water.
  10. Gently stir to create best flavor.
  11. Garnish as desired.
  12. Enjoy!
