Merry Christmas, dear friends and family!
The past year brought us back home to the West after our two years spent (happily!) in Indiana. We feel sadness in missing our Indiana friends, while we feel the joy of getting to know our new home in the Boise area of Idaho.
Our children are all officially “grown up” now, with Mikah being the last to turn eighteen. Contrast that with our grandson, whom we call “Baby Boy”, at the other end of the spectrum and now nearly two!
In fact, Baby Boy inspired the verse I chose for this year’s Christmas card…
That at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. —Phil 2:10-11
You see, Baby Boy’s face lights up with joy every time we say Jesus’ name. And he loves to pray to Jesus. It’s the sweetest thing ever.
To me, it’s proof that our hearts recognize who He is just when hearing “the wonderful name of Jesus”.
I and my whole family pray that your celebrations would be joyful and resound with the name of Jesus. Jesus, who God sent as a babe to be the Savior of the world. He is the greatest gift of all! —Wardee
