DIY Herbal Coffee Substitutes | Coffee lover but shouldn't be drinking it? Meet Jessica. She's a coffee lover, too, and she had to give it up for her healing journey. But she really missed the taste and experience of coffee. So... she developed her own easy, tasty, allergy-friendly, and healing herbal coffee blend recipes. Even for coffee shop drinks in your own home! | KnowYourFoodPodcast.com/125

DIY Herbal Coffee Substitutes (KYF125)

My family are huge fans of my homemade salsa, bean dip, and pesto -- which are all lacto-fermented. As I put together this round-up of 50 amazingly healthy and colorful fermented salsas, dips, and spreads, my eyes were opened to all the ways I can add even more beneficial bacteria into our foods... and probably without anyone noticing. ;)

50 Fermented Salsas, Dips, and Spreads

This 'green' smoothie is absent of all leafy greens (which shouldn't be eaten frequently in their raw form). It's a blend of granny smith apple for a bit of sweetness, celery, a carrot, some parsley, ginger, and coconut water -- the perfect pick-me-up as the afternoon slump hits! Or a great way to start your day!

Sprouted Hummus in 3 Delicious Flavors | Hummus is one of my favorite snacks -- and it makes great lunch box food, too! We love to eat it with veggies or crackers, spread on a sandwich, or even right off the spoon! I prefer to sprout my garbanzo beans to improve their digestibility. Here's our delicious, basic, creamy, sprouted hummus recipe, plus 3 of our favorite hummus flavor variations. | TraditionalCookingSchool.com

As soon as the cool weather begins to set in, my husband and I immediately begin to talk about fall. I really look forward to the fall flavors, particularly apples. A neighbor recently brought me a huge grocery sack full of them, and inspired this dish!

Super Simple Pork Chop, Sweet Potato, and Apple Skillet

My husband's absolute favorite dessert is... coconut cream pie. For his birthday, I considered overnighting his favorite from Tina's in New Mexico. I snapped back to reality and made one instead. THIS coconut cream pie has nothing to hide -- no white flour, refined sugar, boxed pudding, or margarine.
