It was her birthday and guess what she wanted?

A Mockmill!

Yes, that is what our daughter — a GNOWFGLINS girl through and through — really requested!

We couldn’t turn it down!

And so when it arrived… we unboxed her new Mockmill together with you in the video below…

Unboxing The Mockmill: Our Favorite Affordable Home Stone Grain Mill!

In the video, we also show you how to (easily) prepare it for use by removing the transport locking clips.

And… we did a quick milling of one of our favorite kitchen ingredients.

Hint: it’s not flour!

Nope, because the Mockmill does so much more than flour and we wanted you to see that, too!

(Plus we were out of this particular ingredient… watch the video to see what it was!)

If milling your own fresh-ground flour isn't exciting enough, let's explore other things your grain mill can do! From cracked grains for delicious breakfast porridge and bean flour to spices and powdered sugar, watch, listen, or read to discover how easy and fun it is to use your grain mill for more than just flour!I recently shared a Home Grain Milling 101 series. Want the whole thing compiled together into a FREE “Home Grain Milling 101” PDF eBook?

Want To Learn More About Our Favorite Mill, The Mockmill?

I did a series of tutorials on home grain milling and you can find the Home Grain Milling 101 series right here. I did videos and print transcripts — choose the format you prefer. Additionally, I did a comparative review on the Mockmill vs. the Nutrimill here.

I hope you’ll consider the Mockmill. It’s not only affordable, it produces the finest healthiest flours, even gluten-free, and it can crack foods, too (like cracked grains or spices).

When you’re ready for a home grain mill, you’ll want to know where to buy whole wheat berries and how to store grains. Plus, this Whole Grain Primer will help you choose the best grains for you.

Is that offer still available? When I click on the link, it simply brings me to their website without any offers?

Oh, fun video! And fun write-up! I was getting mine out of the box today! So glad for the video!! None of my instructions said to remove anything with the screw driver. The only thing mine said was to not lift it in anyway using the lower spout. It started right up, milling white rice! (Hint: That is not what they milled this time!) Loved their choice!
