Tip of the Week: Improve Digestion!

This is a flash back from episode #36 with my guest Lydia Shatney. Lydia’s online class Heal Your Gut is open for registration. It begins in early March and you can save $50 through Tues, Feb 17, 2014. Click here for more info or to sign up.

Anyone can do these three tips for better digestion. They’re really simple and they’re really helpful. Follow the linked text for more information from Lydia’s blog.

  1. Learn to eat in a relaxed state.
  2. Chew your food! It’s the first step in digestion and really important.
  3. Eat something raw or fermented with every meal to provide enzymes for digestion. More info: Probiotics 101, Probiotic Healing Puzzle, and Apple Cider Vinegar for Digestive Support

Again, check out Heal Your Gut for more info — and save $50 through Mon, Feb 17, 2014.

About Levi Meeuwenberg and Brenda Baran of Realeyes Homestead

In Levi’s own words…

“Levi Meeuwenberg and Brenda Baran are two Michigan natives that have combined their passions of Permaculture and Holistic Nutrition into their farm and blog Realeyes Homestead. Brenda focuses on the health of the body through a nutrient dense, whole food diet, while Levi focuses on the health of the land by restoring the soil and ecosystem to produce that food. Their goal is to meet their needs from the local land and community in a way that doesn’t compromise the needs and health of future generations. They are raising pigs and laying hens, and incorporating these animals into a food forest ecosystem that will provide abundant food crops with minimal maintenance. They are sharing the whole process, mistakes and all on their blog. Like us on facebook to follow along! And check out our Indiegogo campaign — we’re raising money to kickstart our farm restoration project. Support us if you can. Even simply spreading the word helps a lot!” –Levi
