Suffering from seasonal allergies? If you said yes, then this is podcast is for you!

I can feel your pain. I have been a life-long allergy sufferer, some years being tolerable and some years bringing such suffering I couldn’t even function without medication (though medication brought problems of its own). However, I am now allergy-free and have been for several years.

In today’s podcast, I’m going to share my story and how I healed my allergies, plus give you ideas for doing the same. Please know that I’m not giving any medical advice in this episode, merely sharing my story.

P.S. That’s not me in the picture. 😉

Tip of the Week: Help Your Allergies By Giving Up Modern Wheat

If you only try one thing to help your seasonal allergies, let it be: don’t eat modern wheat beginning now and through the allergy season. In my experience, this one thing can have a dramatic effect on how you feel.

Sue – I’m sorry about this. I fixed the 3 I found. Please do let me know if you find anymore that aren’t working (and tell me which ones). Thanks!

I have a number of food sensitivities and know that I have some various gut issues going on. However, I am unable to tolerate any fermented foods, due to headaches and acne.

What do you suggest for someone in this situation?

Alicia – Are you able to tolerate a probiotic supplement such as Bio-Kult? Here’s more info on taking probiotics slowly:

I have dealt with seasonal allergies with my spaced-too-closely children, and I completely agree with your suggestions. We had tremendous improvement with GAPS. As an added note, I found traditionally fermented sauerkraut to be a vitamin C/probiotic “magic bullet” that gives my children instant relief.

Sharon – Yes! I love hearing this. I feel sauerkraut has instant results, too. Plus, it’s just so yummy. 🙂

    Wardee,

When you say to avoid gluten does that also include homemade items if you’re milling your own wheat and soaking it or just store bought stuff?

    Thanks,

    Angela

Angela – Yes, I do mean that.

However, I said “wheat” as in modern wheat. It’s much worse for us than gluten-containing ancient grains. If a person doesn’t see results switching from wheat to spelt or einkorn (and of course, using traditional methods such as soaking, sprouting, and fermenting), then one could go the route of taking out all gluten. The next step would be to take out all grains.

      I hope this helps.
