In this episode of Know Your Food with Wardee, my guest is Julie Behling-Hovdal, a reflexologist and essential oil expert. Through her site, Essential Survival, Julie teaches people how to prepare for the #1 cause of death during crisis — lack of access to medicines. Julie herself has an incredible story of getting off prescription medicines and healing from chronic disease using essential oils and other holistic healing methods. Julie is the author of (the-book-everyone-should-own-in-hard-copy) The Essential Survival Guide to Medical Preparedness.

Tip of the Week
Make Your Own: Elderberry Tincture. Elderberries are known for fighting the influenza virus, H1N1, helping keep the immune system functioning properly, and many other things. Elderberries are high in vitamin C, and contain a moderate amount of vitamin A, vitamin B6, and iron. They are also a mild anti-inflammatory. Here’s a tutorial for making your own tincture.
About Julie Behling-Hovdal
Julie Behling-Hovdal is a reflexologist/holistic healer and founder of Essential Survival where she teaches people how to prepare for the #1 cause of death in the event of an economic collapse — lack of access to medicines. In 2005, Julie was able to get off 4 prescription drugs and heal from a 6-year stint of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and fibromyalgia with products from Young Living Essential Oils. You’re invited to grab a free copy of her report Fast Track Survival Medicines!
She founded Essential Survival in 2010 with the goal of helping as many people as possible be equipped to take care of their health on a daily basis, as well as in times of chaos when drugs and Western medicine might not be as readily available.
Julie’s passion for helping people be more empowered to take care of their health developed after she experienced a debilitating autoimmune illness over a six-year period and was able to have her health restored through lifestyle changes and products from Young Living Essential Oils back in 2005. She had a wake-up call concerning the need for preparedness in 2008, and immediately began to see how even a basic kit of essential oils from Young Living could benefit every family.
Julie started a reflexology/holistic healing practice when she moved to Salt Lake City in 2007. Essential Survival combines the power of essential oils and herbs, Julie’s experience helping numerous clients in her reflexology practice, and her passion for and extensive knowledge on both natural healing and disaster preparedness. She is now mostly retired from hands-on healing work.

I enjoyed learning from both of you, Julie and Wardee! I went to the essentialsurvival.org and searched for the audio training Julie mentioned, but when I tried to click on the link a message said that the page could not be found. Also, I am very interested in the product that helped her to overcome chronic fatigue. I looked it up, and I think it was called NingXia Red. I would love to hear more about where to buy and how Julie used that product. Thank You!!
