Marshmallows are such a fun nostalgic treat!

Who doesn’t love these delicious, fluffy sweets in a cup of hot cocoa, toasted and slathered inside s’mores, or simply on their own?

You just have to be patient while you let them set overnight. That’s the only hard part!

And, if sugar is not an issue for you, there are a few organic cane sugar or raw sugar-based recipes, too.

How To Make Homemade Marshmallows: The Basics

With just a few ingredients, a saucepan, and a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment, you’ll be on your way to fluffy, sticky, sweet and delectable marshmallow fluff in no time! You don’t even need a candy thermometer for most recipes!

Don’t have a stand mixer? Use a large mixing bowl with high sides, and a handheld mixer instead.

Do enlist some help, like your kids or grandkids, to whip up the marshmallow fluff. It takes about 15 minutes of mixing. Little kids love to watch how the marshmallow fluff will double and then triple in size.

Once your marshmallow fluff finishes, pour that beautiful, fluffy mixture into a large dish lined with parchment paper. That’s it!

Now you just need to let it set up, which usually means overnight. The next day your marshmallows will be ready for cutting and eating.

But don’t worry, you can still enjoy some of the sticky marshmallow fluff the day you make it. By all means, make sure you lick the whisk or enjoy a spoonful or two!

The next day, cut the marshmallows into mini or large squares. Enjoy them as-is, dip them in melted chocolate, add them to your hot chocolate, top them on an ice cream sundae, or wrap them up in parchment paper to give as holiday gifts.

Homemade marshmallows make the best homemade holiday gifts! Who doesn’t love an exciting, childhood-favorite treat?

You probably already have most of the ingredients in your pantry to make homemade marshmallows. So, instead of buying a bag of those jet-puffed store-bought marshmallows, give homemade marshmallows a try.

I don’t see marshmallow fluff under the treats and marshmallow fluff recipes, just sugar free. Do you have a non sugar free version? Thanks!
