The perfect warm-up treat when it's cold and wintry outside?
A cup of hot chocolate, of course!
Unfortunately, if you're staying away from dairy, store bought mixes usually contain it — along with a host of other unhealthy ingredients.
The good news?
It's super easy to make dairy-free hot chocolate!
I prefer coconut or almond milk for hot chocolate. Coconut adds a yummy creaminess and almond creates a more neutral base if you aren't one for coconut-ty hot chocolate. 🙂
Either way, chocolate plays the delicious starring role.
Here are two variations on dairy-free hot chocolate. The first utilizes melted chocolate, whereas the second is made from cocoa powder — perfect if you want a completely sugar-free version.
