It’s almost Mother’s Day!
And for the first time in my life, I can join the roll call. For the first time, I’m a mom!
Over the winter, with my son’s arrival mere months away, I steeped myself in natural baby gear and essentials. I researched for hours. And I didn’t stop there…
What about the 4th trimester — the immediate postpartum period? What would I need or want for that time of healing and sweetness and new challenges?
These natural items are the answer to that question, and I thought I would share them with you, too!
Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms and grandmas out there!
25 Natural Gifts For The New Mom This Mother’s Day
A few of these ideas are baby items that help a new mom out. Most, however, focus on the mom herself — to support and nourish and cherish her while she in turn cares for the new life she’s brought into the world.
#1 — Solly Baby Wrap
Nothing compares to snuggling with your baby and being hands-free! You can even nurse in a Solly Wrap (although I’ve yet to try it). I do, however, love taking walks in my wrap. The fabric is soft and the colors are beautiful. Click here for more info about Solly Baby Wraps.

#3 — Blessed Nest Organic Cotton Nursing Pillow

#5 — Plum and Sparrow Market Basket
A community of weavers in villages across Africa make these baskets out of elephant grass. Each basket is fair trade and one-of-a-kind — and none are treated with fire retardants.
