Banana Superfood Snacks {kids can make themselves!} | If going to the fridge and peeling the foil lid off a container of fruity flavored yogurt or pudding cup is as far as your kids go when it comes to making their own snacks, you NEED this recipe. These easy snacks are perfect for hungry kids with mommas who just need a break from snack time. My kids have been making variations of these Superfood Banana Snacks for a few months now.

They love coming up with different flavor combinations, and I love that they’re making their own snack — and getting in some superfoods while they do it!

Banana Superfood Snacks

These are so easy, your kids can make one for you while you actually sit down and enjoy snack time for once! Makes 1 serving.

Ingredients

  • 1 banana
  • 1 tablespoon nut butter
  • 1 tablespoon coconut butter optional
  • Sprinkle-On Toppings * Each person chooses their own!

Instructions

  1. Peel the banana and lay it on a plate. The child can break it in half or slice it if he likes.
  2. Spread on the nut butter and/or coconut butter.
  3. Sprinkle on any or all of the superfood toppings and serve!

  • goji berries
  • unsweetened, shredded coconut
  • allergy-free chocolate chips
  • chia seeds or hemp hearts
  • cacao nibs
  • soaked or sprouted walnuts, pecans, or other nuts or seeds
  • cinnamon or nutmeg

    YUM! I would definitely make this for myself. It could also be a healthy dessert, like a banana split!
